Town Hall Arnhem is a historic civic building where traditional architecture meets modern use. Casala supplied a customised Lynx chair designed specifically for use on the central stairway during temporary events.

The chairs support the venue’s need for quick transitions. By tailoring the Lynx chair to the architectural features of the stairway, it becomes possible to create functional seating wherever needed.

Design & efficiency

To guarantee safe and level placement on the steps, the chair’s hind legs were precisely shortened to compensate for height differences between the stair treads. This bespoke modification ensures stability while preserving the clean lines and comfort of the original design. Additionally, the Lynx chair’s frame-integrated linking system provides exceptionally secure row connections, further enhancing overall stability.

Stacking & Transport

When not in use, the Lynx chairs stack compactly, helping the venue minimise storage requirements. Their efficient stacking design allows a large number of chairs to be stored on a minimal footprint, ensuring that even small back-of-house areas remain organised. The chairs can be moved on and off trolleys by a single staff member, making storage just as quick and effortless as the setup process itself.
