The Dutch Charity Lotteries have transformed an empty office building near the Zuidas, Amsterdam’s business district. The employees’ wish to integrate greenery into the new office space was not only acknowledged but became a guiding principle in the design. Materials from the demolished parts of the original building were reused, while all newly added materials are sustainable, recyclable, and can be repurposed in the future if necessary.
Highly sustainable
Their new office is a highly sustainable mixed-use building, characterised by transparency and accessibility. The space includes a public restaurant, an auditorium, and a TV studio. Casala supplied refurbished Curvy chairs and Lynx shells for the auditorium, with colours reflecting the organisation’s brand identity. The Curvy chairs were returned from The Great Church of Naarden (NL).
