Messe Berlin is one of the leading exhibition venues in the world, hosting international trade fairs, conferences and large-scale events throughout the year. With its flexible halls and multifunctional spaces, the venue requires seating solutions that combine durability, comfort and efficiency. Casala’s Lynx I chairs were selected to furnish various event spaces and meet the diverse requirements of this dynamic environment.
In 2014, the newly built CityCube Berlin required user-friendly, aesthetically appealing and robust chairs for both large and small meeting rooms. The Lynx I was selected. Due to continued high demand in the years that followed and additional requirements across the entire site, the need arose to replace existing conference chairs. Some of these had been in use since the late 1970s.
The new chairs had to meet strict criteria in terms of comfort, functionality and ease of use, and be suitable for a wide range of activities, including conferences, presentations and large-scale events. At the same time, a representative and professional appearance was essential. Efficient stacking and transport were also important to ensure spaces could be reconfigured quickly and easily between events.
